Last week, a petition to persuade Victoria's Secret to hire a transgender angel was created on Change.org. The online campaign, in support of Carmen Carrera, now has over 35,000 signatures, with the numbers only increasing by the minute, it seems.

Carrera is perhaps best known for her appearance on the Logo reality series RuPaul's Drag Race. But since then, she's been featured in W Magazine and starred in a short film by Steven Meisel. And with enough signatures, she may also walk in next week's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which Carrera says is a dream of hers.

"I hope to one day be able to walk your amazing fashion show," she told ET, "We wear bras, too... We need support."

The petition reads:

"By asking Carmen to be a model, Victoria's Secret would show the entire community that they embrace trans patrons. There are so many prejudices toward the trans community, even within the LGBT community, and many trans individuals are not seen as real people. To see a transgender model walk would show that trans women are to be taken seriously and that Angels are selected because of their character and talent. As a brand, Victoria's Secret should feel comfortable marketing towards ALL types of women."

Miranda Kerr announced she wouldn't be walking in this year's show. So there's definitely an open spot. Your move, VS. Carrera says she "looks forward to your response" and that she'll "be here waiting."
