Dope New iNO Mural Goes Up in Athens

The birthplace of democracy, a logical place to make a statement.

A generously proportioned new mural by the street artist iNO went up in Athens, Greece recently.

Titled System of a Fraud, the artist writes on his Flickr page that the piece represents the two sides of the corrupted contemporary Greek system collapsing. The man in portrait is Solon, an Ancient Greek lawmaker and the founder of Athenian Democracy.

We haven’t posted about iNO in quite some time, but it’s hard to ignore such a beautifully crafted and poignant piece of work, especially considering the quality of the paint and the continued upheaval in the Greek government.
