TheHara Design Institute has created a series of new pieces, influenced by the well-known fact that dog is a man’s best friend, called "Architecture for Dogs." In an attempt to reexamine this familiar notion, the Institute designed a series of architectural contraptions that are meant to improve both “canine and human well-being.” The project was in part undertaken to better understand how humans, their trusty pets, and the environment all interrelate.

The initial "Architecture for Dogs" exhibition was held in Dec. 2012 in Miami, and will be showcased in Tokyo, Los Angeles and other cities in the future.
