With one of Dymitr Malcew’s Floating Houses, you have the option to vacation anywhere in the world. Designed to be mobile and easily transportable to different locations, Malcew dreamed up these buoyant spaces. Originally designed for Paris-based developer H2Orizon, a company that specializes in creating floating structures, this unique residence was borne out of a desire to create a house that minimally impacts the environment.
The base of the structure is a stabilizing platform that glides along the surface of the water, allowing it to float listlessly from place to place. The roof rests on top of a robust series columns. The walls are transparent, which allows the structure to blend into its surroundings while also giving the inhabitants a sense of closeness with nature.
