Burton has teamed up with Pharrell Williams, brand ambassador for BIONIC Yarn, on eco-conscious snowboarding kits that have been made with some of the strongest threads on earth. The collection includes three jackets, snowboard pants, backpacks, hats, and gloves made with what's called BIONIC Yarn—thread that's spun out of recycled plastic bottles and is 400 percent stronger than your basic yarns. The entire line was inspired by Peruvian prints, which according to Burton CEO Greg Dacyshyn grew out of Pharrell's interest in South American textiles.
