Bill Gates Thinks Donating to Expand Museums Is a Waste of Money

Tech God Bill Gates has donating lots of money over his lifetime to worthy causes, but for him museums are not on that list. As a philanthropist, he is more interested in saving lives than he is in adding to institutions houses of art that are already overcrowded. Gates subscribes to the philosophy of Peter Singer and places the well-being of humans above the arts and would rather take his money and "spend it on preventing illnesses that can lead to blindness." Gates also said that while “technology’s amazing, it doesn’t get down to the people most in need in anything near the timeframe we should want it to."
