Bauhaus Opens its Dorms for Paying Guests

Big news for design enthusiasts: the Dessau campus of the famed Bauhaus modernist design school has opened the doors of its former dormitories for paying guests to stay in, joining the ranks of Josef Albers, Herbert Bayer, and other titans of modernist design. The building designed by architect Walter Gropius in 1919, and took up occupation by the design students of the school in 1925. Accommodations in the refashioned, minimally decorated rooms are fairly reasonable: €35 for a single, doubles at €60. Check out some images of the rooms above.
