This antique snuff bottle features a very interesting design and a more interesting defect. Made sometime between 1810 and 1860, the enamel bottle is carved in the shape of a little Chinese boy in a doudo (apron), hat, and bracelets holding a peach. The boy has no clothes and, according to the Bonhams auction listing, he doesn't have a penis either. Under "Condition" the auction house wrote: "End of the penis broken off; otherwise, kiln condition." They don't explain how the boy lost the end of his penis, but anything could have happened over the past 200 years. The fact that tobacco has been linked to erectile dysfunction makes this creppy little guy so much better. Use this to tell little boys the dangers of drug use and they would definitely get the message.
