Artnet’s senior specialist Miles Barth landed an exclusive sit-down with Andres Serrano, an American artist and photographer famous for, primarily, photographs juxtaposing religious symbolism with bodily excretions. Serrano is one of the most fearlessly avant-garde and well-respected contemporary artists of his time. Barth traveled to Serrano’s NYC pad, where they discussed, among other things, the artist’s aforementioned "Immersions" series and his newest project that is based in Cuba. Serrano opens up in a revealing and spellbinding interview. You can check out the full video here.
