Steal them, says the designer.

Studio Daan Roosegaarde has created a permanent installation called Crystal as part of the Dutch Design Week. The project consists of thousnads upon thousands of small crystals containing two LED lights each, that users can interact with. The designer hopes that participants will rearrange them, share their design in pictures, and perhaps even steal them. However, they won’t work too well away from the exhibition space; there’s a weak magnetic surface beneath the floor that transfers power to the crystals wirelessly. Dezeen captured some video of the work—check it out above.
