If you thought a pair of L.L. BeanBean Boots couldn't get anymore New England, wait until you hear this: The Maine brand teamed up with its local baseball heroes, the Boston Red Sox, and got ahold of the tarp that was used to protect Fenway Park during the team's 100th season.
The Bean Boots were made to commemorate the Red Sox making it back into the playoffs after a less-than-stellar season last year, and only 50 pairs were made. The upper is constructed from waterpoof tarp, which should make this pair just as cozy and air-tight as your regular Bean Boots.
Fenway Park and L.L. Bean both celebrated their 100th anniversaries last year, and Leon Leonwood Bean, the man who invented the brand and original Maine Hunting Shoe, was an avid Red Sox and baseball fan in his day. So this collaboration just make sense.
These boots will not be at retail, though. To get a pair, you have to go to L.L. Bean's Facebook page,and tell them about your favorite Fenway Park experience. The submissions will end on October 20, so get on it.
