Lebron James and Nike are holding an art contest for kids ages 5 through 12 to come up with a new t-shirt design. Participants are asked to use Lebron as inspiration for the artwork without simply drawing him in a Miami Heats uniform, though the words "Miami" and "Nike" are fair game. The art must be drawn traditionally on paper without any help from an adult except in writing the child's name, address, and a short summary explaining the design. The winner of the contest will have their design printed by Nike, win a trip to watch Lebron and the Heat play in Miami, and their school will receive brand new sporting equipment.

Nike and Lebron have done a lot to inspire and encourage kids around the world and its great to see that applied to the arts. In the video below, King James sits down at the easel and paints a portrait of himself dunking. The reveal at the end is definitely not what we were expecting. Check it out and find out more about the "Design Lebron's Tee" contest over at Nike.com.
