This morning, Lady Gagatweeted the cover art for her new single with R. Kelly, "Do What U Want," along with the announcement that she would release the song at 12:01 p.m. today.

The sexy cover art was shot by Terry Richardson (who else?) and gives Gaga's booty center stage. Coming on the heels of her Jeff Koons-designed ARTPOP album cover, which includes Koons' Gazing Ball as well as a collage of Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, Richardson's photo reminds us of Warhol's Polariods of butts and blondes. In many, the artist appears as a woman in a peroxide wig. We think that the androgynous chameleon Lady Gaga would take the comparison to a cross-dressing Warhol as a compliment.
Besides the booty shot, Richardson also posted images on his blog of Gaga in Chicago looking in a mirror and hanging on his arm. Gaga will be releasing a new song each week leading up to ARTPOP, and we're looking forward to what she decides to do in terms of cover art.
