It's clear to us now that KAWS' plan to take over the art world has officially begun. To follow his work with MTV for the 2013 Video Music Awards, KAWS opened a very important exhibition in Philadelphia at PAFA, he has another opening soon at Galerie Perrotin, and we have recently learned that he will open an exhibition at yet another gallery, Mary Boone Gallery in Chelsea, at the same time. The exhibition at Mary Boone Gallery is planned in cooperation with Galerie Perrotin which is a 15 minute walk away. The teaser for the exhibition seen above features a large wooden hand, which could mean that the massive wooden sculptures that he premiered this summer in Switzerland could be featured in the show.
November 2 is the date you need to mark as KAWS Day on your calendars because you do not want this double dose.
