Brooklyn-based artist Dennis McNett is scheduled to present a collection of wood carvings, sculptures, collage paintings, and leather etchings at Known Gallery in a show entitled "Temple of Wolfbat." For years we've admired the unique graphic style that McNett has applied to various projects including skateboard decks, Barney's window displays, a 30-foot Viking ship, and Vans collaborations, so we are excited to see what this collection in its entirety. The mythology of Wolfbat and other elements of Nordic lore have grown into entirely new legends thanks to McNett's imagination and knack for storytelling. Through his art, McNett has found a way to avoid cynicism and "offer posivitity back to the world."

In addition to "Temple of Wolfbat," McNett will show a collection decks that he created with Antihero Skateboards beginning in 2006. For more information about McNett and "Temple of Wolfbat" (opening Novemeber 16) visit the Known Gallery exhibition page.
