Going to a mall in the late-'80s and early-'90s was way different than hitting up a shopping center today. In a soon-to-be-released called Malls Across America, Michael Galinsk, captured photos of the lifestyle that encapsulated wearing acid wash jorts, high-top fades, and smoking cigarettes indoors throughout this glorious era.

Galinsky set out across the country in '89 to photograph what was going down at malls. What he documented is now pure vintage-style gold. The malls don't look nearly as corporate as today. Everyone's hair was huge, and baggy shirts with ripped denim was the rage. It looks like a teen movie is about to break-out or a group skaters would shred through the middle of the mall on 10-inch wide boards.

If you're a sucker for all things '90s or were cruising food courts with a high-top fade while bumping Tribe on your Walkman in these times, make sure you pre-order the book here.
