Do your parents love you? Did they build you a 6,000 square foot, 6-bedroom castle near the Adirondacks? We didn't think so. John Lavender promised his son in 1982 that he would build him a home where he could live and play and make memories. The Lake George home is a legit castle made of stone with suits of armor, stained glass windows, a carriage house, and a gatehouse. Lavender and his wife used to rent the place out by the night but now the property is for sale with an asking price just shy of $15 million. Maybe you can treat your kid to a new castle?
