There’s something unique and beautiful about a cable or satellite signal that craps out for a second—the image flickers, the pixel striate, and the colors flash. That’s the premise behind this strange and wonderful Tumblr called Glitch News. Yes, sometimes the images can be sad or depressing, but the distortion also serves to remind us just how disconnected we are from the events we consume through the news.
