Paris-based artist Ludo will display new hybrid insect/military aircraft sculptures and drawings at White Walls Project Space starting September 14. The artist often blends elements of nature and technology in his murals and other art, taking the innocent and non-threatening bodies of insects and plants and adding parts from purely destructive machines. These pieces feature the front end of a fighter jet with the back end of a hornet. Ludo cast the sculptures in resin and spray painted the abdomen with the same fern green that appears in the artwork. The attention to detail on both and seamless integration of parts make Ludo's creation seem almost plausible.
