Following his August solo debut opening at the Lazarides Rathbone gallery in London, Tel Aviv-based artist Know Hope sat down with Greatcoat Films to talk shop. In the clip above, the rebellious street and gallery artist talks about how he came to form the distinction between his street work and his gallery work, particularly in this solo show, called "The Abstract and The Very Real." Taking the bulk of his influence from his life within Israel, though he does not call himself political, Know Hope discusses folklore and the conceptual facets of his work. “I feel like I’m not really presenting artwork now,” he says. “It’s not that I created a painting and I hang it on the wall for an exhibition.
