Natalia Rojas, a creative technologist from Argentina, designed an interactive project that takes every single profile picture from Facebook and organizes them onto http://www.thefacesoffacebook.com/. The designer explains that the project was created using "HTML5, Javascript, CSS, jQuery, EaselJS, Ajax, FB API, PHP, and MYSQL," and she makes a point to say that she is not breaking any of Facebook's privacy rules. The project is definitely unique and ambitious, and seeing over 1billion portraits in one place as a pixelated mass is beautiful and very engaging, especially when you're trying to find yourself or someone you know in the noise. We were obviously unsuccessful, but you're welcome to try your luck.
