Well, New York Fashion Week is officially here. It’s only been a day, but your feeds are probably filled with pictures of very stylish peoples attending all the shows and taking the same formulatic photos and selfies. Instead of lugging a fancy camera and waiting for the best dressed editors and fashion luminaries to show up at the most happening studios, illustrator Michele Moricci took a different and refreshing approach.
She stripped some of our favorite ‘90s cartoon characters of their daily uniforms and drew them up wearing the latest designer gear. We never figured Beavis and Butthead to be the Jeremy Scott type, or that Captain Planet would rock Hood by Air, but it is glorious. Also featured are Lisa Simpson in Marc Jacobs, Sailor Moon in Rodarte, Angelica Pickles in Diane Von Furstenberg, and the never impressed Daria looking very comfortable in Prabal Gurung.
