Kim Gordon is famous for being a member of the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, but she is also an actress, designer and artist, having attended Otis Art Institute in the 1970s before forming the band in 1981. White Columns in New York has just announced that there will be an exhibition of Gordon's art works starting in September entitled "Design Office with Kim Gordon – Since 1980." The gallery was the site of her first solo exhibition back in 1981, and the survey collection will blend sculptures, paintings, videos, and photographs from that era with some of her more recent pieces.

Gordon will also debut a new solo recording during the exhibition.
