Now that everyone has caught up with the navy blue dinner jacket trend—which isn’t even really a trend as much as it's a timeless variation—many of you are no doubt wondering how to take the look to the next level. Well, if you’re Margiela, next level apparently means chopping off one side of buttons and completely obliterating the traditional lapel gorge. But pump the breaks, tiger, because I'm not hating. This iteration of black tie may not be for me, but I definitely see some gaunt white boy with the perfect hard part tearing shit up. As with most Margiela, there’s a lot of aesthetic minimalism going on here with a single vent and high-fashion slim fit. Admittedly, this is all villain—the sort of jacket that screams swivel chairs and Persian cats.
