People like sushi, and people like cats. Cats like fish, and fish belong on top of sushi rice. Combining these generalizations, Japanese company Tange & Nakimushi Peanuts brings you Sushi Cats, "extremely unusual life-forms consisting of a cat on top of a portion of sushi rice."

While "Neko-Sushi," "neko" being the Japanese word for cat, is clearly a joke created to be an Internet sensation, the entire campaign is based around a parallel universe where this species of feline actually exists. The website explains, "According to a number of [studies], Neko-Sushi make use of gaps in space to come to us from an alternate dimension. Beyond these 'gaps' lies the world of the Neko-Sushi in which, it is recently understood, lies the true identity of the cats that dwell with us here in the human dimension." Okay, so Sushi Cats come from gaps in the universe? Sounds accurate.
