Smart celebrities invest in real-estate early in their careers. That may not be so easy these days with the insane prices on homes (unless you want to buy up Detroit, Philly, or Gary, Indiana), but stars like Salma Hayek who rose to fame in the '90s got in at the perfect time. The Mexican-American actress purchased this ranch-style home for $538,000 in 1996 after her hit film Desperado with Antonio Banderas. For $9,500 a month you could have Hayek as your landlord, 2,900 square feet, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool, all new appliances, and a sick hillside view of the city. But we only care about the Salma Hayek fantasy.
