UK-based designer and illustrator Doaly has created "Project 26," a typography exercise that uses visual imagery in famous films to represent the first letter of movie titles. Each of the 26 letters are inspired by their respective movies, drawing from their original poster designs of the films. For example, "A" for American Beauty includes the rose petals so prominent in the film. The "E" for The Empire Strikes Back is stretched out like the opening titles of the Star Wars movies. While the illustrations include text that reveals the movies referenced, the letters are still playfully recognizable.
