Heroes are overrated in our opinion. It takes real passion and dedication to be a villain (or a set of claws, a primitive brain, and some outside threat to your existence). Toronto-based artist Jason Edmistonalso cheers for movie villains and has an entire art show dedicated to them opening on August 23 at Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas.

"Jason Edmiston: A Rogues Gallery" features insanely detailed portraits of some of your favorite hero-killers from the big screen, including Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise, Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre films, and the often forgotten ED-209 that made swiss cheese out of a guy in Robocop. The level of detail in Edmiston's paintings is ridiculous, and you can own the originals or prints of your favorite pieces by attending the opening of the show.
