Artist Ellen Hansen is a master when it comes to cross-stitching imagery from popular culture. One of her latest creations was commissioned by New York artist Baron Von Fancy and depicts an infamous day in sports (and Ford) history.
On June 17, 1994 star NFL player Orenthal James "OJ" Simpson led LAPD on a low-speed chase in a white Ford Bronco instead of turning himself in for the murder of his wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was later found not guilty with the help of Johnny Cochran and Robert Kardashian, a verdict that is still contested and referenced in pop culture. The trial and chase are forever a part of our collective memories, and Hansen captured the scene of the chase perfectly in this piece. The Bronco, the on-lookers/supporters, and the police cars are all spot-on and hilarious.
