J.Crew is a line that you can definitely wear regardless of your age. Even you and your dad might be able to share some of the pieces that the preppy-meets-classic sportswear brand churns out season after season.

Ironically, that's what Alex Drexler, son of J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, had in mind with his recently launched Alex Mill line. With slim cut selvedge and Japanese-cotton button-downs, your pops will feel just as comfortable teaching you life lessons in Alex Mill as you do ignoring his every lecture and spending his hard-earned money.

In an interview with The Cut, Drexler identifies that while J.Crew is certainly an inspiration and competition, his line stands out by focusing on the details—specifically buttons.

"We have seventeen different styles of buttons in the fall collection...It’s those subtle details—you may not notice them up front, but they make a piece of clothing feel special."

Aside from his accoutrements, Drexler remarked on wearing wire frame glasses, metal fastenings on his store's shopping bags, and seeing pimps while working as an overnight bellman at the Paramount Hotel in Times Square in college. (We're almost more surprised that he actually worked at all).
