Old clothes aren't cut for modern tastes.
It’s hard to find non-modern clothes that fit you in a normal way. Clothes have not had a uniform cut through the years, and it shows when you toss on duds from decades past. Dress shirts from the ‘90s have a boxy, anti-fit silhouette, and denim that you’ll pick up from a thrift shop or reproduction company can be unflattering, to say the least. If you want your ensembles to coincide with normal proportions, you’re better off buying all clothes from one time period—that era being now.
