The world’s biggest and most elaborate display of LEGO art ever is currently on display in New York City. However Christina Stephens is a woman who also has achieved something amazing with LEGOs. She built herself a prosthetic leg out of the toy bricks as you can see in a time-lapse video below.
Stephens is a practicing occupational therapist who had her foot amputated following a crash injury. She explained her motivation: "Someone in my research lab jokingly suggested I make a prosthetic leg out of LEGOs. The joke's on you - I went home and did it." We have to say, we are pretty impressed with her work. She advises that people not try this at home, but we agree, "sometimes, you just need to be silly."
