UK-based artist Kyle Bean has created the "Receipt Lion" made of paper hotel bills as a commission for the Intercontinental Hotel Groups (IHG). The two-foot tall sculpture is made of shredded hotel receipts and embodies expenses as it roars to express high costs. Bean has included amazing detail in constructing the beast, especially in its teeth, whiskers, claws, and mane, as strips of paper were used to create the appropriate angles and curves. We can recognize some of the terms found on bills such as "Total Balance Due" and "VAT," and can only imagine the total expenses shown in the lion's receipts.
