Phillippines-based illustrator and graphic designer Kerby Rosanesshares some of the most impressive hand-drawn illustrations we've seen on his blog "Sketchy Stories." In photographs featuring his work, a Moleskine notebook, and some Uni Pin pens, the artist shares his creations and drawing medium. By revealing all that was involved—besides his own talent—Rosanes leaves audiences even more awestruck as the process seems so simple, yet his creations are so elaborate.

Many of his drawings feature an explosion of small doodles emerging from a larger subject such as a human head, a shell, a lion's mane, and the body of a crow. The collective mass of cartoonish characters, often shown ecstatically smiling, both embody and complete a larger figure that is depicted. They are entangled and inevitably part of the same being.
