If there were any other name dropped on a track besides Patron or Ciroc, it would be that of downtown artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The late artists work literally sells for millions, and rappers from Jay-Z to Swizz Beatz are big collectors. Now another are item has hi the auction block.

The piece in question is the “Misfits – ManMade” crewneck sweater painted by Basquiat himself, which came from a female friend. The auction is currently listing the item with a Buy It Now price of $38,000.

The listing also includes an email transcript from the original owner—Basquiat’s friend—in which she recounts the day she received the sweater. “He lined up 5-6 on the floor next to each other. Painted them all very quickly seemingly without thought,” she mentions. Also, Andy Warhol is thought to have bought one of these sweaters back in the day according to Phoebe Hoban’s “Basquiat: A Quick Killing in Art” book. If all of this is true, the price it’s going for is literally a steal. Most Basquiat pieces go for millions on the art market.

Now it’s your chance to own this one-of-a-kind piece for that low low price. Hold off on buying that new BMW and head over to the eBay auction and cop for $38,000 before Basquiat boy outbids you.
