As told to James Harris (@Dr_TacoMD)

Danny Brown has kept us salivating with news and hints of his upcoming album Old and its August release date. While we know that Old going to immediately enter the conversation of best albums of 2013, we also know that his accompanying appearances and publicity will launch Danny into the "most stylish celebrity" arena.

The Detroit-based MC has always had a unique sense of style, and even if his skinny jeans are what first got him recognition, Danny's been incorporating designer gear into his wardrobe while maintaining a look distinct from the A$AP Mob and G.O.O.D. Music. The dude is definitely not a sheep following along with whatever is trendy at the moment. After speaking with him, it's clear that Danny himself dictates the direction of his personal sense of style, and isn't afraid to make strong claims regarding what he fucks with and what he won't touch.

With men's style trends all over the map, we talked to the gap-toothed rapper about his thoughts on the things that designers are trying to make happen. Before you get your hands on Old, read up on Danny Brown's Critiques of Current Style Trends as Seen on Givenchy, Rick Owens, and Other Designers.
