For those keeping track, Brittney Griner has accomplished a lot this past year. Not only is she the second woman to ever dunk in a NCAA tournament, she’s also so good that Dallas Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban is considering picking her in the second round of this year's NBA draft. Another big accomplishment was publicly admitting to the whole world that she is gay. Now, she’s crossing another milestone.

The WNBA first round pick has signed an exclusive deal with Nike, but instead of promoting women’s sportwear, she will be wearing clothes made for men. This is nothing new to her—she’s been rocking a tomboy style her whole life. She tells ESPN Magazine, "I used to do the whole baggy, hard-core, I'm-a-boy look. Then I went through a preppy phase. Now I have the athletic, bow-tie look. I found my style." Her Nike deal allows her to wear “apparel branded as menswear, including the skateboarding line Nike SB.”

The combination of women and menswear is nothing new in fashion. We’ve even pooled a whole collection of images dedicated to the trend. With a big name on board to push the trend even further, it will be fun to see this new approach in marketing gender-bending styles.
