Art can sometimes be found in unexpected places. There is an exhibition entitled "SOLAR / ANECHOIC" that showcases the interiors of two such places: anechoic chambers at the Technical University of Denmark which remove audio waves from the air and test the effectiveness of the microwave antennas, and the world's largest solar furnace in the French Pyrenees which was built to concentrate the power of the sun and test its effect on various materials. Photographer Alastair Philip Wiper captured these shots, showing how the very technical and functional designs of the buildings are also aesthetically pleasing.
The exhibition at Etage Gallery ends soon (June 16), but those of you that can't make it can enjoy these stunning images.
