Last season's London Collections: Men surely brought about a new look and spirit to one of the oldest menswear cities in the world. And that was just the tipping point. The past few years have seen a revitalization and interest in Italian menswear, but London is looking to reestablish itself as the premier destination to anything tailored. We mean, is there anything more historic than Savile Row?

And its not just menswear fans that think so, it's the designers, too.“I have always been very influenced by the steep heritage of British menswear and tailoring,” Tom Ford said to Business of Fashion. “Britain is, in a sense, the home of menswear. It was an obvious choice for me to show in London.”

But it doesn't stop there. The show has been able to attract American designers like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger who are able to show alongside British veterans like Burberry and Alexander McQueen.

The show has also produced results for the brands who show collections—in business terms, that is. Each year the show has been conducted, there has been more than a 50 percent year increase in the amount of international buyers who are in attendance.

The tradeshow's website has gone as far as declaring, “Cementing London’s reputation as menswear capital of the world." But will it be enough? Let us know if you've been checking for more London brands as of late.
