In 1953, Sherpa Tenzing Norgay climbed Mount Everest (not an easy feat) with Edmund Hillary wearing a pair of Bally Reindeer-Himalaya boots. Now, sixty years later, the boots are being reissued for the Swedish brand's Everest collection (appropriate name, we think).

The collection also includes three other styles, all based on traditional and trekking Alpine styles. In addition to the Himalaya boots modeled after Norgay's pair, there are also the Vilmos ski boots, the Vincens, and the waterproof Viller.

We realize it's almost summer and probably way too hot to even think about boots—let alone ones that are lined with cashmere—but think of this as something to keep in mind for winter. Or if you're the adventurous type who climbs mountains and what not, then these boots are right up your alley.

Both the Himalaya and Vincens boots are already available, while the rest of the collection hits stores this fall.

We came across this old video of Norgay and Hillary following their successful climb. Watch it below.
