New York City is about to see a very inventive art show. This Friday artist Nathan Sawayawill present his solo art exhibit Art of the Brick. The show will feature “the world’s biggest and most elaborate display of LEGO art ever and will feature brand-new, never-before-seen pieces by Sawaya.” You will have plenty of time to see it; the exhibit will be open until January 5, 2014.
If you decide to visit the show, you will see over 100 creative works made entirely out of Legos. Despite being made out of something typically associated with children, the pieces are incredibly mature. Conceptually the sculptures are stunning and unexpected. The show should be fun for both adults and kids. Tickets are available to purchase online from the Discovery Times Square website. Below is a brief video showing the exhibition.
