Miniature furniture seems to be catching on and so has 3D printing. Designer Kevin Spencer has combined the two trends with a scaled-down version of the classic Eames lounge chair, created in the 1950s by American designers Charles and Ray Eames. Spencer posted his creation on Shapeways, a 3D printing marketplace and community. The chairs are true replicas, down to the last detail. While the-scaled down furniture isn't the same thing as owning a real Eames chair, Spencer suggests that the furniture would be "an awesome source of inspiration or a great gift for a designer friend," which convinces us.
Other sizes and color options are also available on his Shapeways page.
