Since 2003, The International Center of Photography (ICP)has held its triennial to introduce American people to the work of emerging and established artists from around the world. This year's exhibition, A Different Kind of Order: The ICP Triennial, centers around the digital revolution and the ways in which it informs the photographer's decisions, their work, the viewer's perception and relationship with the photograph, and the life of work online. The works selected also deal with global issues of "widespread economic, social, and political instability."
28 international artists from 14 countries are featured in the exhibition, including: Nir Evron, A.K. Burns, Roy Arden, Huma Bhabga, Aleksandra Domanoviç, Sam Falls, Jim Goldberg, Gideon Mendel, Lucas Foglia, Mishka Henner, Shimpei Takeda, Nica Ross, Sohei Nishino, Thomas Hirschhorn, Mikhael Subotzky and Patrick Waterhouse. To accompany the ICP Triennial, the center also has fully illustrated catalogues of the work available for purchase and will host educator-led tours, outreach programs for students, and various lectures by select featured artists.
