Terry Richardson has been hired for a spread that is slightly different from shoots the famed photographer has performed in the past. Valentino hired Richardson to photograph the Fall campaign of their Rockstud line that includes shoes and accessories. However, Richardson also serves as a hand model, holding each item in front of his lens.

When it comes to using buff men or gorgeous models in advertising, Valentino is not a stranger. Richardson, surprisingly, fits the role perfectly with his tattoos providing a juxtaposition to the merchandise. Even if his whole face isn't in the line, there's an edgy quality in the ads that make it stand out.

Although this may be odd to some, Richardson has actually been in front of the camera many times before. He has been in ads for brands like Mango and Philip Plein. If you click here you can see an ad he appeared in for David Webbjewelry.

The campaign was recently launched in magazines worldwide. WWD reports that Maria Grazia Chiuri, one of the head designers for Valentino, said the photography features the new accessory line as "objects of desire." Although it is a bit odd, we are all for Richardson toting around a man-clutch.
