Action Comics #1, the 1938 introduction of Superman, is the most expensive comic book ever sold. A copy in good condition can fetch upwards of $2 million dollars, and David Gonzalez claims he found one being used as insulation in the walls of his newly purchased home. Unfortunately for him, his dreams of millions were killed when his aunt-in-law grabbed the book to take a look and he snatched it back, ripping the back cover off. As you would imagine, the value instantly depreciated. The comic was graded a 1.5 on a scale of 10 and is up for auction through Comic Connect with a current bid of a disappointing $127,000. That's free money but still, he must be hella pissed.
