As we told you before, Chris Brown's neighbors filed complaints about the graffitied monsters painted on the outside of the singer's Hollywood Hills home. Responding to complaints filed by Chris Brown's neighbors, L.A. city code officials ordered him to take down the graffiti within 30 days due to laws that prohibit unpermitted and excessive signage. Also, people who live by his house say the murals are scaring children and ruining the look of the neighborhood. He already owes $376 for the offense but he may have to pay more if he doesn't comply--and it sounds like he won't.
Chris Brown used Twitter to give his neighbors a message: "Keep em inside then! It's art. There are scarier creatures on Harry potter. Get a f***ing life!" He also wrote ""Lords of dogtown"is how I live my life. #Free ima paint until my hands fall off."
Mark Geragos, Chris Brown's attorney, says Chris Brown isn't going to let a few complaints stop him from displaying his art. The attorney says his neighbors are harassing the singer. "I'm scared of neighborhood busybodies like this," Geragos said according to the L.A. Times. "They've called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them."
Geragos is fully prepared for a legal throw down over the graffiti. But Chris Brown isn't the only person to piss off people in the Hollywood Hills. Madonna made people mad in the '90s when she painted her house with red and yellow stripes. Lindsay Lohan made her neighbors angry because of the paparazzi she brought. Those neighbors can't get a break.
"I know a $300 fine is probably pocket change. But hopefully and maybe, he'll just see the light and decide to be a good neighbor," Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Assn. said. "We're happy to have him — if he just tones it down."
