Airplane crashes are a tragedy, but German photographer Dietmar Eckellfinds "miracles in aviation history" at the abandoned sites of wrecks that have resulted in no casualties. Happy End is a photo series that showcases images of the remnants of 15 airplanes that had made forced landings and remained "in no =where" for 10-70 years. All of those who were on board the flights survived and were rescued nearby, but the abandoned aircraft was left to become embedded into nature. Eckell has launched a successful Indiegogo campaign to fund the publication of a photo book featuring 50 high quality images of the crashes and their stories.
