Larry Gagosian to Hold Exhibit for New York Art Students who Lost Works in School's Fire

Talk about getting the hook up.

It's always nice to hear a little good news. Larry Gagosian will hold a week-long show in May for 44 Pratt students whose works were destroyed when the school's historic Main Building caught on fire in February. Gagosian's own galleries are already slated for other projects, so he decided to tap his friend Aby Rosen who will give the students about 26,000 square feet of space on the Seagram Building’s eighth floor. Contemporary art curator at the Brooklyn Museum Eugenie Tsa will help organize the event while Pratt trustee Bruce Newman has donated $50,000 to go towards frames and installing works.
