JR Premieres "Inside Out: The People's Art Project" at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York (Video)

Artist JR premiered his documentary film Inside Out: The People’s Art Project at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Since receiving funds from his TED Prize, JR and his crew have been traveling the world for the past two years pasting large portraits of people everywhere. In doing so, the project is meant to share stories of individuals through photos.

The movie follows his large international participatory art project. Over 135,000 people have participated in over 100 countries including Brazil, Palestine, Mexico, North Korea, Tanzania, and Nepal. The premiere at Tribeca saw many notable people, including Robert DeNiro who introduced the film. The documentary airs on HBO May 20 at 9pm. Watch the trailer below.
