Jacques Domenge is a photographer who shoots cherry blossoms at night in Washington D.C. He does so with a special technique. You see, the puffy pink flowers are hard to see at night. But Domenge does what he calls "light painting."
He puts his Canon 5D Mark II on a Gorillapod, to the bulb setting and waves a flashlight across the scenery. Every picture takes from 30 seconds to four minutes. He says from time to time people walk in front of the camera while he is photographing but if he doesn't light them up with his flashlight, they do not show up.
